8 Palestinians Martyred in Israeli Airstrikes on Bureij Refugee Camp

At least eight Palestinians were killed early this morning in Israeli airstrikes that targeted the al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Among the victims were a child and several others injured in the attacks.

According to local sources, the Israeli occupation military launched a series of airstrikes on residential buildings in the camp. One of the airstrikes hit a home belonging to the Aqel family, resulting in the murder of seven individuals, including a child.

These victims, along with others wounded in the attacks, were transferred by Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances to al-Awda Hospital in the nearby Nuseirat refugee camp and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

In a separate incident, Israeli forces targeted a home belonging to the Al-Maqadmah family in al-Bureij, killing a woman and injuring at least nine others. The injured individuals were also rushed to al-Awda Hospital for medical treatment.

In addition to these strikes, Israeli artillery targeted the northwestern areas of Gaza City, causing widespread damage. Local residents reported hearing explosions throughout the night, while emergency responders worked to assist the injured.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 43,799 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 103,601 others injured.

Israel’s genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
