The Palestinian Resistance factions continue to confront the Israeli forces' incursion in Khan Younis, southern Gaza.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced in a statement on Monday that it launched a rocket barrage at “Tel Aviv” in response to Israeli massacres against Palestinian civilians.
Israeli media reported that eight rockets were fired toward “Gush Dan” from the southern Gaza Strip, with five landing in the central region. Sirens sounded in 37 locations, including “Rishon Lezion”, “Tel Aviv”, “Holon”, “Lod”, “Yavne”, “Ashdod”, and various areas in southern and central occupied Palestine.
According to Israeli media, despite the Israeli military claiming to have reduced its forces in Gaza and discussing the “destruction of several Hamas brigades,” it acknowledged that the Palestinian Resistance group still possesses the capability to launch rockets toward “Tel Aviv”.
In its daily report on the ongoing battles against the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, the Al-Qassam Brigades stated that their snipers targeted an Israeli soldier using the al-Ghoul sniper rifle east of the al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The statement also mentioned thwarting an Israeli attempt to release a captive in the Al-Bureij camp. According to Al-Qassam, an Israeli special force infiltrated an area where they believed an Israeli captive was located. The attempted operation was repelled, resulting in casualties among the Israeli forces and the seizure of some of their belongings.
The Brigades confirmed that members of an Israeli force were killed and injured inside a house in the al-Mahatta area of Khan Younis city.
