Parliament speaker: Libyan people will officially request Egyptian military intervention whenever needed
Libyan parliament speaker said on Wednesday that the Libyan people will request the military intervention of Egypt whenenver needed.
Speaking to Egypt’s state-owned MENA news agency, Akeela Saleh said eht Egyptian intervention “would be legitimate under the Libyan people’s mandate.”
“We will request the intervention of the Egyptian armed forces to support the Libyan army in case of the penetration of Sirte” by armed militias, Saleh stressed.
