Tunisia: Ghannouchi condemns violence perpetrated by his allies from Brotherhood movement in the Tunisian parliament
House speaker Rached Ghannouchi has finally denounced the violence perpetrated by Al Karama MPs in parliament against democratic bloc deputies.
“The speaker of the Assembly of the representatives of the people and after being briefed on the details of the violence that occurred on December 7, 2020, on MPs: Anouer Bechahed, Samia Hammouda Abbou, and Amal Saeidy have denounced firmly the verbal violence issued by some Al Karama MPs and considers what they have done to be a dangerous precedent that must not be repeated”, reads a statement by the parliament presidency.
