Bennett’s positions incite terror and undermine peace
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said today that “the extremist” Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett misses no opportunity to express his obscurantist ideology and his positions that reject peace and that call for the perpetuation of occupation and settlements.
Bennett pledged yesterday not to abandon his position on the establishment of a Palestinian state, saying, “As long as I am prime minister, there will be no implementation of the Oslo agreement.”
“Bennett thus surpasses Netanyahu in his rejection of political negotiations with the Palestinians, by declaring that “there will be no agreement with the Palestinian Authority that can lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state,” said the Foreign Ministry in a press statement.
The Foreign Ministry warned of the consequences of Bennett’s “disastrous” statement on the region as a whole, especially that what he offers to the Palestinian people is only perpetuating the occupation, expanding settlements, gradually annexing the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and imposing fait accompli on the Palestinians to accepting an apartheid regime.
The statement added, “Bennett declares once again his rejection of any political process to resolve the conflict as long as he’s part of the ruling coalition. This frank and clear confession reveals his true intentions aimed at rejecting any regional and international efforts to restore the political horizon for resolving the conflict or reviving the peace process and returning to negotiations.”
