He pointed out that despite the failure of the Houthi militias to fulfill their obligations related to lifting the siege on Taiz and stopping the looting of Hodeidah ports revenues that must be harnessed to pay the salaries of civil servants in the areas under the control of these militias according to the 2014 payroll, the Yemeni government spares no effort in expressing All forms of flexibility and cooperation with the Special Envoy to overcome the obstacles created by the Houthi militias.

Lifting the siege on Taiz

He stressed the Yemeni government’s call in this regard to the Security Council and the international community to pressure the Houthi militias to stop their daily violations of the armistice and to engage positively with the efforts of the United Nations Special Envoy to implement all its provisions, foremost of which is stopping the use of the Yemeni people as a hostage and using their suffering as a negotiating card and stopping the use of state resources and port revenues.
