Israeli Aggression on Damascus International Airport
Syrian Air Defenses respond to an Israeli aggression against Damascus' International Airport and its surroundings, which claimed the lives of two Syrian Arab Army soldiers.
Two soldiers were killed and two others were wounded, on Monday, as a result of an Israeli air aggression on Damascus International Airport and its surroundings.
A Syrian military source told SANA that “the Israeli enemy carried out an air strike with barrages of missiles directed from over the northeastern Sea of Al-Jalil, at around 2:00 am today, targeting Damascus International Airport and its surroundings.”
However, it was announced, later in the morning, by the Syrian Department of Transportation, that Damascus International Airport will resume flights as of 9:00 am following hours of stoppage due to the Israeli aggression.
The source added that the aggression “led to the death of two soldiers and the wounding of two others, as well as some material losses, which resulted in Damascus International Airport going out of service.”
