Mohamed Salah breaks yet another Premier League record
Mohamed Salah was the Player of the Match ins Liverpool’s 3-1 victory at Molineux yesterday, with the Egyptian breaking another Premier League record.
Wolves looked the bigger threat in the first half after opening the scoring with a Hwang Hee-chan strike. Liverpool did not look at the races going into the interval.
However, the Reds came out of the blocks with all guns blazing in the second half and turned the game around, largely through the efforts of Salah.
Salah assisted Cody Gakpo who scored in the 55th minute and then set up Andrew Robertson who scored in the 85th.
An own goal from a deflected Harvey Elliott strike sealed the victory for Liverpool in injury time.
Salah became the African player with the most assists in Premier League history after his brace of assists with 63 in total, surpassing Riyad Mahrez who had 61 assists.
Salah recently became Liverpool’s fifth all time top scorer and is sure to continue breaking records if he maintains his impressive form.
