170 Days of Gaza Genocide in Staggering Numbers
The Government Media Office releases an update detailing key statistics regarding the ongoing genocide war conducted by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the occupation committed 8 massacres in 24 hours, killing 84 and injuring 106. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7 to 32,226, in addition to 74,518 injuries.
It is noteworthy that numerous victims remain trapped under the rubble, presumed dead, as “Israel” prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.
Concurrently, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the Israeli occupation besieged Al-Amal and al-Nasr hospitals in Gaza. The PRCS reported heavy gunfire and intense shelling around the two hospitals, stressing that the Israeli occupation forces are also conducting excavation work around Al-Amal Hospital. The situation has put the medical teams, patients, and displaced citizens in the hospitals in grave danger as they are immobilized, the report added.
In a related development, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that an employee had sustained a head injury from gunfire after Israeli forces opened fire on Al-Amal Hospital.

On its part, the Government Media Office released an update detailing key statistics regarding the ongoing genocide war conducted by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip. This report covers the 170th day of the aggression, which falls on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
In the ongoing genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza, recent statistics revealed the grim toll exacted on the civilian population. With 32,226 martyrs, including 14,280 children and 9,340 women, the devastation is profound. Additionally, 364 medical personnel, 48 civil defense members, and 136 journalists have been killed in the line of duty.
The statistics also indicated that 27 children have succumbed to malnutrition and dehydration. Furthermore, a staggering 73% of the victims are reported to be women and children.
Meanwhile, the plight of 7,000 missing individuals adds to the mounting concern for the safety and wellbeing of civilians.
According to statistics, there have been 269 cases of detention involving healthcare workers. Additionally, 12 journalists, whose identities have been disclosed, have been detained.

The dire humanitarian situation continues to worsen, with tens of thousands of vulnerable individuals being in urgent need of medical attention. The statistics also revealed that an estimated 10,000 cancer patients are currently facing critical treatment shortages, heightening concerns over their deteriorating health conditions.
Furthermore, the crisis extends to pregnant women, with approximately 60,000 expectant mothers at risk due to the severe shortage of medical care.
Statistics also indicated that a staggering 350,000 chronically ill patients are facing heightened risks due to the scarcity of essential medications. Additionally, approximately 700,000 individuals have been infected with infectious diseases as a direct consequence of displacement, underscoring the urgent need for medical intervention and support.
Furthermore, there have been 8,000 reported cases of viral hepatitis infections attributed to displacement, highlighting the perilous conditions faced by forcibly displaced populations. In addition, an estimated 17,000 children are now living without one or both parents.
Moreover, 11,000 wounded individuals arfe in urgent need of medical treatment to preserve their lives.
Massive destruction
The toll of destruction wrought by the ongoing genocide in Gaza is staggering, with the official statistics revealing extensive damage to vital infrastructure and cultural landmarks. The relentless bombardment has destroyed 168 government facilities, crippling administrative functions in the region, as per the statistics.
Furthermore, the education sector has been severely impacted, with an alarming 100 schools and universities reduced to rubble.
The assault on religious sites is equally devastating, with 224 mosques and 3 churches reduced to rubble.
In addition to the loss of life and livelihoods, Gaza’s rich heritage and cultural legacy are also under attack, with 200 heritage and cultural sites bearing the brunt of the brutal Israeli aggression.
The widespread destruction also extended to residential areas, with an estimated 70,000 housing units decimated by the violence. The displacement and homelessness resulting from this devastation further compound the humanitarian crisis gripping the region.
The Israeli occupation has reportedly dropped 70,000 tons of explosives on Gaza, as per the statistics.
War on hospitals
The escalating Israeli aggression on Gaza has inflicted severe damage on the region’s healthcare infrastructure, exacerbating the already dire humanitarian crisis. Official statistics indicated that 32 hospitals, 53 medical centers, and 158 medical institutions have been significantly affected by the relentless Israeli bombings.
The destruction extends beyond facilities to include essential emergency response resources, with 126 ambulances rendered inoperable due to the attacks.
As a result of the destruction of medical facilities and resources, access to essential healthcare services for Gaza’s civilian population has been severely restricted, placing countless lives at further risk.
IOF intensified its aggression on Khan Younis
The invading Israeli forces intensified their attacks on all areas of Khan Younis this Sunday morning, simultaneous with attempts to advance on the ground.
Our correspondent confirmed that the IOF carried out more than 50 airstrikes early in the morning on the southern and southeastern areas of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, in addition to Israeli drones opening firing. The occupation also launched artillery shells across Khan Younis, particularly in the western regions, along with the surroundings of the Nasser Medical Complex being targeted by artillery shelling.
Meanwhile, our correspondent reported that fierce confrontations are taking place between the Palestinian Resistance and Israeli occupation forces and their advancing military vehicles in the vicinity of al-Nasser Hospital, as part of the Resistance’s response to the ground Israeli incursion.
He added that the invading Israeli forces are repositioning their vehicles in Khan Younis neighborhoods.
In Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, the bodies of six martyrs and several wounded were recovered from under the rubble after the occupation forces bombed a residential house on al-Faluja Street. IOF navy also opened fire heavily toward Rafah beach.
