Israel Kills, Injures Palestinians in Rafah, Gaza City
Israeli occupation forces continue bombing Palestinian homes and neighborhoods in several neighborhoods and towns in Rafah and Gaza City, killing a number of martyrs and injuring others.
During the early hours of Monday, our correspondent in Gaza confirmed that three Palestinians, including a woman, were killed, while several others were seriously injured after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) deliberately bombed a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in Gaza City.
Israeli bombardment also targeted agricultural lands east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Gaza’s Civil Defense reported earlier that its crews recovered the bodies of two martyrs from the Bir Canada area in the Tal al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah, following the occupation’s bombing of the area. Israeli warplanes also targeted a house in the vicinity of the Emirati field hospital in central Rafah.
Occupation warplanes also launched a violent raid on Gaza City, coinciding with several raids targeting the vicinity of the Gaza Valley, northwest of the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza.
‘Israel’ effaces all signs of joy, ability to celebrate Eid in Gaza
From the heart of Gaza, our correspondent reflected on the atmosphere of the first day of Eid al-Adha in the Strip, in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression for the 254th day, which targeted all necessities of life and reduced buildings, mosques, and markets to rubble.
Our correspondent confirmed that there are no signs of joy across the Gaza Strip, as shops are almost all closed with most of them destroyed. He added that the most important ritual that the people of Gaza perform every year, which is offering sacrifice, is absent as the people are left with nothing to buy it.
He emphasized that this Eid is particularly difficult for the families of the martyrs, the wounded, and the captives, noting that there are more than 10,000 wounded people whose limbs were amputated, and they are waiting for the reopening of the Rafah crossing to exit Gaza for treatment.’
Charitable associations and societies are the ones purchasing the sacrifices and distributing them among the families as part of the humanitarian aid programs, our correspondent pointed out.
Moreover, there are more than 8,000 captives whose whereabouts are unknown.
