700 Martyrs in Lebanon Since Beginning of Expanded Aggression
Israeli warplanes have launched dozens of consecutive airstrikes on southern Lebanon and the Bekaa, in the most extensive aggression since Hezbollah's support front for the Gaza Strip began on October 8, 2023.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on Friday that it recorded “88 martyrs and 153 wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the country over the past 24 hours.”
More than 700 people have been killed in Israeli strikes on Lebanese civilian homes and infrastructure since Monday.
Abiad explained that “ambulances are being directly targeted by the Israeli occupation,” emphasizing that “they must be protected under international law.”
Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad stated in a press release that “more than 40 healthcare workers were martyred during the Israeli attacks on Lebanon this week.”
Israeli warplanes carried out dozens of consecutive airstrikes on southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley. The raids also targeted the city of Baalbek and several surrounding towns, including the Bednayel Plain, Adous, Taria, Shamshtar, and Nabi Sheet, as well as other towns in the Zahle and Western Bekaa districts in eastern Lebanon.
The airstrikes also targeted dozens of towns in the districts of Sidon, Tyre, Bint Jbeil, Marjeyoun, Hasbaya, and Jezzine in southern Lebanon.
Our correspondent reported that Israeli raids targeted several villages and cities in southern Lebanon, namely; Nabatieh al-Fawqa, al-Bazouriyah, Majdal Zoun, al-Najariyah, al-Bissariyeh, Blat, al-Aishiyeh, al-Burj al-Shamali, Majdal Zoun, al-Ghaziyeh, al-Shaitiyeh, Zebqin, Mayfadoun, Shokin, Toul, and Zawtar al-Sharqiya. The occupation aircraft also targeted Jabal al-Rayhan in a series of raids.
