Israeli Aggression on Lebanon Intensifies as Death Toll Exceeds 3,110

Israeli drones were also reported flying at low altitudes over Beirut, heightening public alarm as "Israel" threatened to bomb additional residential buildings in the area.

The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on Lebanon, intensifying airstrikes and artillery attacks across multiple regions, leaving a heavy toll on civilians.

According to the latest report from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll has risen to 3,117 with 13,888 injured since the start of the aggression.

Southern Lebanon and Beirut Suburbs Targeted

In southern Lebanon, Israeli forces carried out airstrikes on the town of Shebaa, while artillery shelling struck the village of Kfar Shouba.

Other areas, including Kfar Tibnit and Qaaqaiyat al-Jisr, also sustained damage from Israeli bombardments.

Four civilians were reportedly martyred in the village of Ghandourieh due to Israeli airstrikes, as per the National News Agency (NNA).

Further escalations targeted Beirut’s Southern Suburb with air raids striking residential areas in Haret Hreik, Burj el-Barajneh, and Hadath, with 11 violent raids reported by NNA as of 11:50 pm.

Less than 10 minutes after the Israeli occupation army posted its so-called “evacuation orders” for different areas in Beirut’s Southern Suburb on X, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported the first Israeli raid on the region.

The occupation army’s orders included neighborhoods like Haret Hreik, Hadath, Roueiss, and Burj al-Barajneh. Despite Israeli claims that their strikes target buildings affiliated with the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, emerging footage documenting the aftermath of these airstrikes continues to prove otherwise.

The strikes caused significant destruction, with smoke and dust billowing over the targeted areas, including buildings near the Lebanese University campus in Lailaki.

Israeli drones were also reported flying at low altitudes over Beirut, heightening public alarm as “Israel” threatened to bomb additional residential buildings in the area.

Intensified strikes in Bekaa

In the eastern Bekaa Valley, Israeli jets launched airstrikes on the rugged outskirts of Hermel.

The NNA confirmed that another strike hit a house in the border town of Hosh al-Sayyed Ali, north of Hermel, close to the Syrian border.

The assault on the Bekaa region has left at least 782 dead since the escalation, with residents continuing to bear the brunt of the Israeli war’s expansion into rural and residential areas.

Continued assault on southern villages

In addition to the above areas, Israeli forces targeted the towns of Jmaijmeh, Souaneh, Majdal Selem, Hanine, Shaqra, al-Teiri, and Kawnin with heavy air raids.

In Tyre, airstrikes hit an apartment in the al-Madrasa neighborhood, causing fatalities and injuries, while other raids were reported on the towns of Zawtar al-Sharqiah, Kfar Rumman, and the highlands of al-Rihan, where dozens were injured.

A source in the Civil Defense in Tyre told Al Mayadeen that nine were killed and 34 were wounded in three raids that targeted the city of Tyre, adding that operations to remove rubble to search for missing persons have stopped and will resume in the morning.

International response and UNIFIL statement

Earlier today, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) issued a statement condemning “Israel” for deliberately damaging a concrete structure and part of a fence at its base in Ras al-Naqoura on Thursday.

UNIFIL called on the Israeli army and all parties to respect the safety and sanctity of UN properties and personnel.

In a statement, UNIFIL described the destruction of its clearly marked property by Israeli forces as a “flagrant violation of international law and UN Resolution 1701.”
