Trump Mocks Biden’s Economic Agenda, Targets Hunter Biden Pardon

Earlier this month, Biden granted a blanket pardon to Hunter, who was indicted for lying about his addiction while applying for a gun license.

US President-elect Donald Trump criticized outgoing President Joe Biden’s economic policies, known as ‘Bidenomics,’ and the recent controversial pardon of Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, using a meme shared on his Truth Social platform.

The meme accused Biden of funneling taxpayer money to Ukraine and indirectly benefiting from it, linking it to Hunter Biden’s activities in the region.

Earlier this month, Biden granted a blanket pardon to Hunter, who was indicted for lying about his addiction while applying for a gun license. The pardon covers any potential offenses committed between January 2014 and December 2024. This decision contradicts Biden’s previous assurances that he would not pardon his son and has sparked backlash from Trump’s campaign, which described it as a sign of the administration’s misuse of the justice system.

The meme, shared by Trump, depicted Biden next to a whiteboard with a step-by-step process labeled as ‘Bidenomics.’ It suggested that taxpayer funds were sent to Ukraine, returned to Hunter Biden, and eventually benefited the president, ending with the phrase, “Pardon Hunter.”

Hunter Scandal

Hunter Biden’s connections to Ukraine have long been a point of contention. During Biden’s vice presidency, Hunter was paid millions to serve on the board of a Ukrainian gas company.

Emails from a laptop reportedly abandoned by Hunter at a Delaware repair shop indicated that a portion of his business deals went to a figure referred to as “the Big Guy,” allegedly Joe Biden.

Trump’s criticisms come as he prepares to take office after a decisive electoral victory, winning the popular vote, the electoral college, and all seven key swing states.

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was the Democratic candidate, spent much of the campaign arguing that the US economy was on a solid footing under Biden’s leadership.

Despite the Biden administration’s defense of its economic policies, dubbed ‘Bidenomics,’ American voters appeared to disagree, leading to the Democratic defeat.
