Palestinian Civil Defense Says 137 Bodies Found in Rafah Since Start of Ceasefire

The Palestinian Civil Defense Society revealed that its crews continue to dig through the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israel’s 15-month war, looking for bodies of those killed.

Gaza’s civil defense said it has pulled 137 bodies of those killed in Israeli attacks from under rubble since the start of the ceasefire in Rafah alone.

An estimated 10,000 bodies are currently undiscovered under rubble across the Gaza Strip, it added.

In a statement, the ministry said this has brought the death toll of the Israeli genocidal war in Gaza to 47,035 martyrs and 111,091 injured since October 7, 2023.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday the arrival of 122 martyrs, including 62 recovered from under the rubble, and 341 injuries in Gaza hospitals, due to the Israeli aggression on the Strip during the past 24 hours.
