A Spanish club plans to “kidnap” Salah from Liverpool
A report by the British newspaper “Daily Express” indicated, on Sunday, that the English Liverpool star, Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, has become a target on the radar of Barcelona’s Spanish coach, Ronald Koeman.
According to the British newspaper, Ronald Koeman’s desire to include Salah in the “Blaugrana” battalion is due to the fact that the Dutch coach seeks to support the Catalan club’s offensive line, by hiring a player with speed and ability to convert opportunities into goals, which is available with the “Reds” star.
The newspaper based its report, which was also carried by the Spanish newspaper “AS”, on statements made by former Dutch player Chjac Swart, a close friend of Coman, to the “Futbolzone” sports website, through which he revealed Barcelona’s desire to include Salah.
Swart added: “I know that Koeman wants Salah, and I know that Salah also wants to leave Liverpool.”
Coman’s friend refused to reveal the source of his information, saying only: “I cannot, I will not go into any other details, but believe me, I am very sure of what I say.”
Salah’s transfer deal to Barcelona, if the reports are correct, faces several obstacles, most notably the financial situation of the Spanish club, especially in light of the outbreak of the new Corona virus, which negatively affected all clubs in the “summer Mercato” this year.
It is worth noting that since joining Liverpool, Salah has scored 97 goals in 154 matches at the English and European domestic levels.
Barcelona, who participated in the leadership of Argentine star Lionel Messi after his decision to remain in its ranks, beat Nastic Tarragon 3-1 in the first test match for his new coach Coman.
