Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi confirmed Egypt’s keenness in strengthening cooperation with Ethiopia on the ongoing Renaissance Dam negotiations
During his meeting, Desalegn confirmed Ethiopia’s keenness in strengthening cooperation with Egypt in achieving stability in the African continent, hailing the remarkable achievements made by Egypt during its presidency of the African Union.
Former Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn Special Envoy of the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, conveyed, on Saturday to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi his country’s interest in enhancing bilateral relations with Egypt .
During his meeting, Desalegn confirmed Ethiopia’s keenness in strengthening cooperation with Egypt in achieving stability in the African continent, hailing the remarkable achievements made by Egypt during its presidency of the African Union.
Al-Sisi asserted Egypt’s commitment in reaching success over the ongoing negotiations concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), expressing his aspiration in strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
The president said that reaching a final agreement over the filling and operation of the GERD would insure balanced interests between all parties, and will open broad prospects for cooperation.
