Algerian President Tests Positive for Coronavirus
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune tested positive for coronavirus, adding that his health condition is gradually improving as he receives treatment in a German hospital.
Tebboune became first president of an Arab country to contract the deadly virus.
The statement added that the transfer to Germany was made at the request of the presidency staff.
On Wednesday, the Algerian President was transferred to Germany for undergoing specialist medical examinations, a day after he had been hospitalized, according to the Presidency’s statement.
On October 24th, the president entered a self-quarantine for five days after contacting many officials working in the Presidency Headquarters who have symptoms of the novel coronavirus.
