Arab Parliament Calls on Turkey to Abide by Security Council Resolutions Regarding Libya Arms Embargo
Arab Parliament Bureau called on Turkey to respect the Libyan sovereignty and abide by the United Nations Security Council resolutions regarding Libya arms embargo, calling on all Libyan parties to cease fire, and remain committed to a humanitarian truce to promote the efforts to confront the spread of the new Coronavirus.
This came in a resolution issued by the meeting of the Arab Parliament Bureau, which was held virtually today under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Arab Parliament Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, on the implications of the outbreak of the new Coronavirus in the Arab world, calling on the UN to take immediate and urgent action to stop the transfer of foreign fighters to Libya, and establish a clear mechanism for monitoring and maintaining sanctions against the parties fueling the conflict in Libya.
