Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is considering formally recognizing Artsakh / Karabakh independence
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that his country is seriously considering officially recognizing the independence of Artsakh / Karabakh, noting that his country aims to establish permanent stability in this country.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told the Russian news agency TASS that Armenia is studying the possibility of formally recognizing the independence of the Republic of Artsakh / Nagorno Karabakh.
Pashinyan stressed that Armenia’s actions are aimed at establishing permanent stability in Artsakh / Karabakh.
Pashinyan said that Armenia would guarantee its security with or without the CSTO’s participation, and at the same time, he said that Armenia is in constant contact with the CSTO partners.
“Yes, the issue of recognizing the independence of Nagorno Karabakh is on our agenda, and we are also studying the possibility of forming a military-political alliance with it,” Pashinyan added.
He stressed that Armenia is ready to host the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union in Yerevan, scheduled for October 9th.
