Bougherra reveals the reasons for winning the Arab Cup and thanks Belmadi

Algeria coach Majid Bougherra praised the fighting spirit and mentality of the heroes of his team, and considered it the main reason for winning the Arab Football Cup after the 2-0 victory over Tunisia after extra time on Saturday, and he also sent a letter of thanks to the coach of the first team, Djamel Belmadi.

Substitute Amir Said scored the first goal with a powerful shot in the 99th minute, after a 0-0 draw in the original time, and Yassine Brahimi, the best player in the tournament, added the second goal from the last shot in the competition.

Bougherra said in the press conference: The most important point is the spirit of the players and the desire to win. We played every match as if we were playing the final.

He added, “For me, this is the key to success. When the players wear the Algerian shirt, they give everything they have and this is the main advantage.” I would like to thank God for these moments of happiness, we saw competition from all the teams, I thank all the players and I am proud of them.

Bougherra refused to nominate any players from the current team of coach Djamel Belmadi, as he stated: I do not suggest any names and all options in front of the first coach, and he can include whoever he wants.

He concluded his speech by thanking the coach of the first team: I thank Djamel Belmadi, who has been by my side for several years, a person from whom I learned a lot, and I thank the Algerian fans and fans who supported us in Qatar.

Belmadi will return to lead Algeria in the defense of the African Cup of Nations title in Cameroon next month, and then continue his campaign in the World Cup qualifiers, hoping to return to Qatar after one year.
