Day 194: 33,899 Martyred, 76,664 Injured in Gaza
The Israeli occupation commits 6 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, killing 56 and injuring 89 in 24 hours only.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in its daily report today that the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza due to the Israeli genocide since October 7 has now reached 33,899 and those injured to 76,664.
Additionally, it declared that the Israeli occupation committed 6 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, killing 56 and injuring 89 in 24 hours only.
The Ministry stressed that thousands of victims are still under the rubble on the streets, as the IOF deliberately prevent ambulances and civil defense crews from reaching them.
Earlier, Our correspondent reported that Israeli occupation forces shelled the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, while 7 Palestinians, including 4 children, were martyred in an Israeli raid on a house in Rafah.
Two Palestinians were killed in Israeli bombardment that targeted a house in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, our correspondent reported.
The occupation warplanes also bombed the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque in the al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City and launched raids on Salah al-Din Street and the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.
Meanwhile, journalist Alam al-Din Sabahi pointed out that several were killed and injured in a bombing that targeted a residential apartment in the al-Shaaf area in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza, adding that nine others are missing.
The Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, described on X the level of destruction of Gaza’s hospitals as “heartbreaking”, reiterating the demand “to protect hospitals and not attack or militarize them.”
He, once again, demanded a ceasefire and stressed that “the key medicine the people in Gaza need is peace.”
Committing genocide, leaving no one behind
This comes mere hours after UN agencies issued a dire warning that nearly 10,000 women have been killed in the past six months due to Israeli aggression and systematic famine in Gaza. They highlighted a staggering statistic: one child is either injured or killed every 10 minutes.
In a related development, a recent report by UN Women revealed a devastating toll of the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza: an estimated 6,000 mothers have been among the casualties, leaving behind approximately 19,000 children orphaned.
Not only so, but yesterday, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate (PJS) announced that six journalists were martyred as a result of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, while nine others were seriously injured in March.
The report also highlighted the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, where more than one million women and girls are grappling with severe shortages of food, clean water, and basic hygiene necessities. It is worth noting that disease is spreading rapidly in the face of inhumane living conditions.
This brings the total number of journalists killed by “Israel” in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to at least 140.
