Day 265: 37,765 Martyred, 86,429 Injured in Gaza
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip says Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres in 24 hours, killing a total of 47 people and injuring 52 others.
The number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7 has risen to 37,765 and those injured to 86,429, confirmed the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip on Thursday.
In its daily report, the ministry mentioned that Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres in 24 hours only, killing a total of 47 people and injuring 52 others.
It noted that many victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
This comes as “Israel” continues its genocidal war against the Gaza Strip for the 265th day, launching intense airstrikes on areas in central Gaza, Gaza City, and the southern part of the Strip.
In a related context, the Civil Defense in Gaza pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces are targeting the tents and schools where displaced Palestinians in the Strip are seeking shelter.
In a statement, the body said that its teams are unable to deal with the overwhelming number of targets amid fuel depletion, warning that its operations may cease at any moment due to fuel shortages, which affects the lives of citizens.
The Civil Defense also pointed out that the health system in northern Gaza is in a dire state due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Earlier, dozens were killed and others were injured due to an Israeli bombing targeting a large residential block in the al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City. Additional injuries were reported after the Israeli occupation forces targeted a house in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of the city.
Israeli aircraft also targeted five other homes in al-Sabra and al-Shujaiya.
In central Gaza, Israeli artillery shelling targeted the vicinity of the al-Asra Towers, al-Zahra City, and al-Mughraqa town, north of the Nuseirat camp, while Israeli warships simultaneously fired its shells.
The Israeli occupation forces also targeted the northern al-Bureij camp with artillery shelling.
The Israeli attacks extended to the southern part of the Strip, where intense airstrikes targeted the vicinity of a displaced persons’ shelter in Aabasan, Khan Younis.
In Rafah, several casualties and injuries were reported in Israeli airstrikes on the al-Shaboura and Yibna camps, the Saudi neighborhood, and the Brazil neighborhood, alongside the demolition of residential buildings in the western part of the city by the Israeli occupation forces.
Additionally, Israeli warships fired several shells toward the coastline of Mawasi Rafah, amid continuous artillery shelling since Wednesday on central and western Rafah.
