Demolition, Ongoing Siege; ‘Israel’ Tightening the Noose on North Gaza

Northern Gaza is experiencing continuous Israeli bombardment and attacks, coinciding with a comprehensive siege and demolition operations aimed at displacing residents.

The area is witnessing a violent Israeli assault targeting infrastructure, roads, and what remains of citizens’ homes, in addition to isolating areas from one another.

Since dawn, a series of massive explosions have rocked northern Gaza due to Israeli demolition operations in the al-Saftawi, Tawam, and northwestern Jabalia areas.

The Israeli military has issued new evacuation orders for the residents of Jabalia, however, citizens are insisting on remaining in place and refusing to relocate southward, citing a lack of safe havens in the enclave, as all locations are under attack.

Israeli vehicles opened fire toward residential homes east of Jabalia camp, while Jabalia and its camp have been subjected to continuous artillery shelling since last night, resulting in martyrs and injuries.

According to our correspondent, 22 martyrs and more than 90 injured were retrieved from the rubble following Israeli bombardment in Jabalia city at night, with additional individuals still reported missing.

Our correspondent also noted several injuries from an Israeli strike targeting a home in the al-Faluja area of Jabalia.

Complete siege on the North

This situation unfolds as the martyrs and injured in northern Gaza are being transported on carts, following a halt in ambulance services due to fuel shortages resulting from the ongoing Israeli siege, now in its eighth consecutive day.

Fares Afana, the director of ambulance and emergency services in northern Gaza, stated that rescue and Civil Defense teams are unable to reach areas subjected to Israeli bombardment in northern Gaza due to restrictions imposed by the Israeli military.

He confirmed the presence of dozens of injured and deceased individuals trapped under the rubble, with no one able to reach them despite the appeals they have received.

Earlier, Gaza’s Civil Defense warned that evacuating hospitals in northern Gaza would lead to a complete collapse of the health system and exacerbate the suffering of the population.

For his part, Civil Defense officer Moataz Ayoub urged international organizations to intervene and coordinate efforts to facilitate rescue operations in northern Gaza.

The humanitarian situation in Jabalia camp is becoming increasingly dire, with “Israel” preventing food, medical supplies, and water from entering for citizens, alongside the difficulty faced by rescue teams in retrieving the bodies of the martyrs and transferring the injured.

The Israeli occupation military announced on October 6 that it had commenced military operations in Jabalia, following hours of a fierce aggression on the eastern and western regions of northern Gaza, marking the most intense wave of violence since May.

This marks the third ground incursion launched by the Israeli military in Jabalia camp since the onset of the ongoing genocidal campaign on October 7, 2023.

Additionally, three people were killed in an Israeli strike on the al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, while Israeli bombardment continues on the al-Bureij neighborhood and the al-Nuseirat camp in the center.

Gaza’s civil defense reported that three people were killed and 12 others were injured in an Israeli strike targeting a home in the al-Tuffah neighborhood.

Meanwhile, in southern Gaza, eastern Khan Younis is being subjected to Israeli artillery fire.
