Former Barcelona star Malcom nears transfer to Al-Hilal
Former Barcelona winger Malcom is reportedly on the verge of a significant move to Al-Hilal, the prominent Saudi Pro League club. This summer has seen Al-Hilal secure the signatures of several notable players, including Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
As per reputable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Malcom features prominently on Al-Hilal’s transfer shortlist, and the club is in the final stages of negotiating a deal valued at $67 million for the Brazilian talent. It has been revealed that personal terms have already been agreed upon by the parties involved.
Recalling Malcom’s previous transfer endeavors, the winger was in discussions with Arsenal in 2018 before eventually making a move to Barcelona in a $46 million deal. However, his stint at the Nou Camp proved to be relatively brief, with just 24 appearances during his single season before he eventually joined Zenit.
Since joining Zenit, Malcom has showcased his soccer prowess, amassing an impressive record of 42 goals and 24 assists in 109 appearances for the Russian club. His exceptional performances have garnered him significant recognition, solidifying his status as one of Zenit’s most valuable players.
In recognition of his contributions and influence on the field, Malcom was bestowed with Russian citizenship by none other than Vladimir Putin earlier this year, underscoring the importance he holds within the club and the league.
