Former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu: Even the closest people do not trust Erdogan

Former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that even his closest relatives do not trust President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdogan . Davutoglu, “No one, not even his closest relatives, trusts Erdogan. Imagine a Finance Minister who says, ‘The wheel is turning except for the low-income.’ Who would trust in this situation?” said.

Future Party leader Davutoglu was the guest of İsmail Küçükkaya and Alarm Clock on FOX TV. According to the news of Cumhuriyet , Davutoglu said, “We are in a period where we need a great consensus in Turkey. I wish the President had set up such a table” , President should have set up the unifying table, but he could not. You should have set this table, Mr. President” .

Highlights from Davutoğlu’s statements are as follows:

They apply implicit interest. It claims that it does not increase interest, but the interest is increasing all the time in the market.

“Even the closest people don’t trust Erdogan”

All of these cause trust issues. No one, not even his closest relatives, trusts Erdogan. Imagine a Finance Minister who says, “The wheel is turning, except for the low-income.” Who to trust in this situation?

There is a rush among bureaucrats who engage in illegal transactions, and honest bureaucrats are worried about how to get rid of this wheel. No bureaucrat who has been dismissed or resigned at the moment is upset, he says he is saved.

“You have divided Turkey, you have separated it”

We are in a time when we feel the need for a great reconciliation in Turkey. I wish the President had set up such a table. The pandemic was an opportunity. If he had said, ‘We expect support from you, let’s take the country out together’. The president did not. He even eliminated us who were with him. Who did he take with him? The gangs of the 90s, the actors of the 90s, the Perinçeks, etc. took. The president should have set up Turkey’s unifying table, but he could not. You should have set this table, Mr. President. You divided Turkey, you separated it. You treated those who did not vote for you as enemies.

“I don’t reject my past”

I don’t reject my past, I’m a former prime minister. This is an advantage, not a disadvantage.

Everyone needs to know this. I did not come to that table with an imposition. A person who leaves the office of the Prime Minister due to his principles is a person who has overcome his ego.

This is not a table to pick a presidential candidate and step aside.

If we can get a joint candidate, we can win in the first variety. In the first race, Erdogan has no chance of winning. A change is now a rule in Turkey. The engine of change is this table.”

Our hope is to produce a presidential candidate. If only one candidate does not come out, our table will not fall apart. We are bound by the parliamentary system agreement. Let’s say 2 candidates came out of this table. In the second variant, this table can unite around one of those two candidates.
