Government of National Accord recruits prisoners to fight in its ranks – Major General Ahmed al-Mismari says
The Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) recruits prisoners to fight among its forces, bargaining for their freedom, said the Spokesman of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Major General Ahmed al-Mismari.
“In the framework of following up on the terrorist gangs movements west of Tripoli, it was monitored that terrorist, fuel smuggler, Osama Juwaili, recruiting prisoners and convicts in criminal cases, including murder and theft, to fight against LNA forces, while making promises to forgive them and reduce their sentences, after his big losses recently,” al-Mismari said in a statement on his official Facebook account.
It is noteworthy that the commander of LNA’s Western Region Operations Room, Major General al-Mabrouk Al-Ghazwi, had announced the shooting down of 6 Turkish drones, which gunmen used to launch an air operation against LNA.
This comes after the General Command of LNA had announced the killing of a number of Turkish soldiers, in a bombardment launched by its forces on Mitiga air base in Tripoli last Wednesday.
