Hamas Issues Statement on Palestinian Unity Discussions with Fatah

A delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has concluded its series of meetings in Cairo, where it discussed several issues related to achieving national unity and ending the Palestinian division.

The movement also announced its approval of an Egyptian proposal to form a community support committee through comprehensive national mechanisms.

In an official statement, Hamas confirmed that it engaged in in-depth talks with Fatah leadership, focusing on the formation of a committee to manage the Gaza Strip as an initial step toward implementing previous national agreements.

Additionally, Hamas met with various Palestinian national figures in Cairo to brief them on the discussions with Fatah and the movement’s stance on the Egyptian proposals, stressing the need for national consensus to address current challenges.

The delegation held a meeting with the leadership of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, discussing political and field developments in Gaza and the West Bank, emphasizing the importance of strengthening joint national efforts.
