Hezbollah Targets ‘Meron’ Settlement in Response to Israeli Attacks
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon launches dozens of Katyusha rockets at the 'Meron' settlement and surrounding areas in retaliation for Israeli occupation attacks on southern villages and civilian homes, notably al-Qozah, Markaba, and Sarbin.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced that it targeted the “Meron” settlement and the surrounding settlements with dozens of Katyusha rockets.
The resistance statement stated that this targeting came in response to the Israeli occupation’s attacks on southern villages and civilian homes, in particular, the towns of al-Quzah, Markaba, and Sarbin.
For its part, Israeli media reported that one of the central radars at a military base had been damaged. This was preceded by the announcement of the launch of a heavy salvo of missiles, which were launched towards the settlements of Mount Meron, including Safsofa, Hagnoz, Kfar Hosh, and Bar Yoha
“Those who fail to see the future, who are ignorant of this enemy, will not be able to understand the facts that indicate that this support will have benefits beyond supporting Gaza and beyond protecting Lebanon; it extends to forming a real deterrent force that confronts Israel and teaches it that it cannot cross the line,” Sheikh Qassem underlined.
Earlier on Saturday, Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem said that Hezbollah’s support for the Gaza Strip has hindered the Israeli occupation’s war plans in Palestine and Lebanon in the present and the future.
He said that the initiatives being proposed for Lebanon and southern Lebanon are not viable unless they are based on a ceasefire, for that is the only means of addressing the core issue.
“Whoever comes up with an initiative that entails a ceasefire in the south to relieve Israel so that it can bolster its positions in Gaza is calling on us to participate in supporting the Israeli enemy,” he underlined.
