Informations that militias and mercenaries of Turkey had moved towards Sirte. Is the Sirte battle approaching?

Libyan army announced that it had intensified its naval patrols on the coasts opposite the cities of Sirte, Ras Lanuf and Brega, after information that the Accord forces and mercenaries of Turkey had moved towards Sirte. Was the battle approaching?

Libyan Military Information Division said that the coasts opposite the cities of Sirte, Ras Lanuf and Brega witnessed a heavy spread of maritime patrols of the Libyan National Army, while Reuters news agency reported that the Fayez al-Sarraj government had mobilized militia and mercenary fighters towards the city of Sirte.

And the Libyan Military Information Division account on Twitter published photos of the extensive reconnaissance patrols of the navy on the coasts of Sirte, Ras Lanuf and Brega.

This comes after eyewitnesses and leaders of the militias affiliated with al-Sarraj government reported that a convoy of about 200 vehicles moved east from Misurata on the Mediterranean coast towards the city of Tawergha, which is about a third of the way to Sirte, which is the gateway to the main oil terminals in Libya.

In the context, Libyan sources stated that “there is a repositioning monitored by the Libyan army for the forces affiliated with al-Sarraj government in the area between al-Washka and Abu Qurain, west of Sirte.”

It added that “the military action of Accord is to reposition itself, not to the east.”

Earlier, the Libyan National Army spokesman, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari, confirmed that the coming hours will witness a major battle in the vicinity of Sirte and al-Jafra.
