Israel Expands Aggression, Intensifies Strikes on Bekaa, Hermel

Israeli raids have relentlessly targeted civilian homes and towns past midnight, killing tens and injuring others, as the occupation expands its aggression on Lebanon.

Our correspondent in the Lebanese Bekaa reported a series of relentless Israeli raids targeting areas stretching from West Bekaa to its north and Hermel, after midnight on Monday.

The Israeli attacks expanded overnight and killed 11 citizens in an initial toll, following yesterday’s toll of 60 killed.

An elderly woman was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a home in Nabi Othman in northern Bekaa. Strikes also targeted Sohmor, Libbaya, and Mashghara in West Bekaa.

In the Baalbek province, the city of Baalbek came under attack, as well as Hawsh al-Sayyed Ali to the north of the Hermel province, near the Lebanese-Syrian borders and Nabi Othman.

The death toll in Hermel and its surroundings has risen to 12 martyrs as a result.

The Israeli aggression also targeted the city of Jdeidat Yabous between Lebanon and Syria.

In South Lebanon, civil defense crews were able to rescue a survivor from beneath the rubble in Ain el-Delb near Saida after a massive death toll of at least 30 following search operations that lasted hours after an Israeli attack targeted the area.

During the early hours of Monday, the Israeli occupation struck the al-Bass refugee camp in Sour, South Lebanon. Several casualties were confirmed, including the head of the Teachers’ Union in Lebanon at UNRWA, Fateh al-Sharif, who was killed alongside his wife, son, and daughter.

‘Israel’ assassinates PFLP leaders in Beirut

Our correspondent reported that at midnight on Sunday, an Israeli airstrike targeted a multi-story residential building in the Cola area of Beirut. This marks the first attack on the capital, aside from its Southern Suburb, since the beginning of the war.

The attack was a targeted assassination against three members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. The PFLP announced the martyrdom of three of its cadres, Mohammed Abdel Aal, Imad Awda, and Abdul Rahman Abdel Aal, two of whom are leaders.

Another woman was martyred and at least ten more were injured.

Earlier, the Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that 105 people were martyred and 359 wounded as a result of Israeli occupation raids on Sunday, excluding those who were killed after midnight.
