Israel Killed And Injured Several in Attack on Syria’s Aleppo

The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that Israeli fighter jets launched an aerial attack on the Syrian city of Aleppo on Sunday night, resulting in several martyrs and injuries.

The statement clarified, “At approximately 12:20 am on June 3, 2024, the Israeli enemy launched an airstrike from the direction of southeast Aleppo, targeting some sites around Aleppo. The attack led to several martyrs and some material losses.”

Footage showed fires erupted at the targeted location, and reports indicated that several explosions were heard in the area during the bombardment, suggesting that the attack was carried out with more than one missile.

A few days ago, on May 29, the Syrian air defense systems were actively repelling a missile attack in the vicinity of Homs in western Syria, state news agency SANA reported.

An Israeli aggression targeted a residential neighborhood in the Syrian city of Baniyas on the Mediterranean coast, resulting in some civilian injuries, SANA said. 

A Syrian military source confirmed to SANA that a little girl was killed and 10 civilians were injured in an aerial attack by the Israeli forces on the city of Baniyas, located in Tartus Governorate in western Syria.

Additionally, our correspondent in Syria confirmed that Syrian air defenses intercepted hostile targets in the sky over the city of Homs. “Syrian air defenses intercepted hostile targets in the skies over the city of Homs,” the correspondent reported.

“A young girl was martyred, and 10 civilians were injured in an air raid carried out by the Israeli occupation on the city of Baniyas,” the source said.

The source further mentioned that the Israeli attack, conducted on Wednesday evening, targeted one of the sites in the central region and a residential building in the Baniyas area.

“The Israeli aggression was carried out from Lebanese territory,” he added, which means the Israeli occupation is killing children in Syria and Palestine while violating the former’s sovereignty alongside Lebanon’s.

Such acts of aggression are commonplace in Syria, with the Israeli occupation continuously violating the country’s airspace and bombarding its soil.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates repeated its unconditional support for the Palestinians in a statement. It urged the international community which believes in international law, human rights, and international humanitarian law to “fascist Israeli massacres.”
