Israel Unleashes Series of Violent Strikes Across Lebanon
Amid talks of an imminent ceasefire that would end the Israeli war on Lebanon, the Israeli occupation forces bombard wide areas across Lebanese territories.
The Israeli occupation continues its aggression against Lebanon, targeting Beirut, its Southern Suburb, and various areas in the south and the Bekaa region on Tuesday.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that seven people were killed, and 37 others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the Noueiri area in Beirut, adding that efforts to remove the rubble are still ongoing.
Our correspondent reported that the targeted two-story building was used for preparing food for displaced persons and subsequently collapsed as a result of the Israeli airstrike.
Simultaneously, our correspondent reported Israeli airstrikes on the Southern Suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut, spanning areas from Ghobeiry to Hadath, including Haret Hreik.
Our correspondent described the latest attacks as among the most intense and extensive since the Israeli aggression on Lebanon began, with smoke blanketing much of the Southern Suburb and extending into Beirut’s airspace.
Earlier, the Israeli military carried out heavy airstrikes on residential buildings in Burj al-Barajneh, Raml al-Aali, and Hayy al-Ghadeer areas, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.
Our cameras documented the extensive destruction caused by the Israeli aggression in the Chiah area of the Southern Suburb, where residents affirmed that the occupation’s goal was to inflict harm by targeting residential buildings.
Israeli assaults on southern Lebanon
In the south, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent confirmed that the Israeli occupation military targeted the town of Khiam, while another correspondent reported an Israeli airstrike on the town of Qaaqaiyet al-Snawbar in Saida district.
A statement from the Public Health Emergency Operations Center under the Lebanese Ministry of Health noted that Israeli airstrikes on the towns of Srifa and Bazouriyeh in the Tyre district injured seven people.
Israeli warplanes carried out a strike this morning targeting the town of Arnoun, while another strike hit a residential building in the Rayshoum neighborhood of Douair, completely destroying it.
The occupation also targeted a Husseiniah in Nabatieh, causing damage to the club, nearby homes, and several vehicles.
Earlier, Israeli warplanes struck the outskirts of Zawtar al-Sharqiya and the town of Kfar Roummane, resulting in three injuries. Another strike hit an open area in Dawhat Kfar Roummane.
Israeli warplanes also bombed Deir al-Zahrani and carried out strikes on the town of Yohmor al-Shqif after a drone attack on the town earlier in the morning killed one person. A commercial center was also destroyed in the town.
Three people were killed, and several others were injured in an Israeli strike that completely destroyed a home in the town of Jibchit.
In Nabatieh, nighttime Israeli airstrikes killed two people after two consecutive airstrikes targeted the al-Maqased neighborhood, destroying several homes.
One of the martyrs was a 91-year-old shepherd and one of the city’s oldest residents, who chose to stay in his home until his martyrdom.
The al-Maydan neighborhood in Nabatieh was also hit by an Israeli airstrike during the night.
‘Israel’ launches cluster bombs
Around midnight, Israeli warplanes attacked the town of Khirbet Selm in the Bint Jbeil district, resulting in several injuries.
Another airstrike targeted a house in Jdeidet Marjaayoun, destroying it and creating a four-meter-wide crater. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported heavy Israeli artillery shelling on the eastern neighborhood of the town.
In the Tyre district, Israeli warplanes struck the town of Zibqine, as well as Ma’roub, and the area between Tayr Harfa and Majdal Zoun.
Israeli warplanes also bombed the al-Ma’ashouq area near Tyre’s suburbs, and in the Bint Jbeil district, Israeli airstrikes targeted the town of Deir Antar.
