Israeli Forces Detain 25 Palestinians in West Bank Raids

The Israeli occupation forces detained at least 25 Palestinians, including a woman and former detainees, in the occupied West Bank during the last 24 hours.
The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestine Prisoners Society (PPS) said that the occupation forces are continuing their detention and field investigation campaigns in the West Bank at an escalating pace.
Meanwhile, over 450 Palestinians were detained during the ongoing onslaught against the city of Jenin and its refugee camp, while 215 detentions took place in the city of Tulkarem and its camp.
The detentions have also recently escalated in the Hebron governorate, primarily former prisoners who were detained after October 7 and released, only to be re-detained by the occupation.
Meanwhile, Israeli police rounded up 23 Palestinian workers from the West Bank in the city of Tiberias, inside the 1948 territories, under the pretext that they were residing without permits. They also detained a young man from the town of Kafr Kanna, who was transporting the workers in his vehicle.
In recent weeks, hundreds of Palestinian workers have been detained and harassed by Israeli police on the pretext that they did not have permits.
It is worth noting that these detention campaigns and field investigation operations constitute the most prominent systematic policies used by the occupation forces and they are also among the most prominent tools of the policy of collective punishment, which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens.
While the occupation forces continue to carry out field investigation operations, the pace of which has recently escalated, accompanied by widespread abuse, attacks and threats, in addition to acts of vandalism and destruction in citizens’ homes.
