Israeli Military Confirms Death Of Commander And Soldier In Southern Gaza
The Israeli military announced the death of a battalion commander and another soldier during clashes with Palestinian fighters in Rafah, in southern Gaza.
Iran Press/West Asia: This latest announcement comes amid ongoing heavy fighting in Rafah. Earlier, Israeli media reported that two soldiers were killed and five others wounded during battles with Hamas fighters in the same region. Reports indicate that the condition of some of the injured soldiers remains critical.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full U.S. support, has launched a devastating war against the residents of Gaza. The offensive has caused widespread destruction, severe famine, and resulted in the death and injury of thousands of Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children.
After 15 months of war, the Israeli regime has admitted that it has yet to achieve its key objectives: the destruction of Hamas and the return of Israeli captives held in Gaza.
Despite international condemnation, including United Nations Security Council resolutions demanding an immediate ceasefire and orders from the International Court of Justice to prevent genocidal actions and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation, Tel Aviv continues its military operations in Gaza.
