Israeli Occupation admits 3 dead soldiers killed, as Resistance in Gaza upscales ops
Al-Qassam Brigades, claimed responsibility for a significant operation yesterday in Khan Younis, where an Israeli force was lured into a booby-trapped two-story building before it was blown up by Resistance fighters.
The Israeli army admitted that the operation led to the killing of 3 soldiers of the Bislamach Brigade’s 450th Battalion and the wounding of 14 others, 6 of whom are in serious condition, raising the total number of Israeli soldiers and officers killed by the Resistance in Gaza to 245 since the start of the ground invasion of Gaza.
In a similar operation on Saturday, the group revealed that two anti-personnel IEDs previously planted by the Resistance were detonated against an Israeli unit consisting of 7 soldiers in Khan Younis, confirming direct casualties among the force.
Despite constant violent bombardment and large military forces deployed in al-Zaytoun neighborhood, the Israeli army hasn’t been able to stop Resistance operations and has been finding significant difficulty in advancing in the area for almost two weeks.
In a statement, the Resistance group announced that its fighters had seized an Israeli Sky Lark drone that was conducting a spy mission south of the neighborhood in Gaza City.
Furthermore, the Brigades said that its fighters destroyed two Israeli Merkava tanks using Shawaz explosive devices and detonated an anti-personnel IED “Ra’diya” targeting an Israeli patrol unit in another operation.
Two additional Merkavas were targeted with al-Yassin 105 shells in a separate attack, the Resistance added.
On its Telegram channel, al-Qassam published footage of its Resistance fighters confronting invading forces in al-Zaytoun.
In the video, one of the group’s fighters appeared to be threatening the occupation soldiers, saying as he prepared to fire a shell at one of the tanks: “We vow to Netanyahu, who wants to dismantle al-Qassam Brigades, that we will dismantle his forces, their bones, and return them to Israel in coffins.”
On its part, al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, said its fighters shelled a gathering of occupation soldiers and vehicles in the “Netzarim” axis, south of Gaza City, with mortar shells.
Additionally, the group claimed responsibility for targeting “Hatsirim” and settlements in the Gaza envelope with a salvo of rockets.
The Brigades also published footage of its fighters targeting occupation soldiers stationed in eastern Jabalia, north of the Strip, with 107mm rocket artillery aimed directly at the targeted area.
Al-Zaytoun neighborhood and Khan Younis also saw Resistance fighters from al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades engaged in fierce battles with occupation forces.
The group claimed responsibility in a statement for 11 operations carried out between Friday and Saturday. The operations ranged from confronting Israeli forces to targeting military vehicles with mortar and RPG shells, mainly in Khan Younis.
Meanwhile, fighters from al-Mujahideen Brigades targeted an Israeli vehicle with a “Saeer” shell, east of Jabalia, in the north of the Gaza Strip.
As part of the cooperation between various Palestinian Resistance factions, joint operations have become almost a daily occurrence.
Additionally, al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades released footage of their joint strikes with al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades – Tawhid Brigade on a position of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in central Gaza.
Fighters from al-Quds and al-Mujahideen brigades jointly downed an Israeli Hermes 900 drone using a Sam 7 surface-to-air missile over Beit Lahia in southern Gaza, PIJ’s military wing confirmed.
