Lavrov Shakes Hands with Norwegian Foreign Minister on the Margins of G20 Ministerial Council Meeting

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov shook hands with his Norwegian counterpart Espen Barth Eide on the sidelines of the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting in Johannesburg on February 20.
Lavrov was also greeted by Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
As the Russian minister approached his seat, the Norwegian foreign minister extended his hand.
Lavrov arrived in Johannesburg on February 20 to attend the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting. The G20 presidency passed to South Africa from Brazil on December 1 last year. At a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi Lavrov agreed on the visit of the Chinese foreign minister to Moscow.
The previous G20 summit was held on November 18-19 last year in the Brazilian capital and was dedicated to “building a just world and a sustainable planet.” The Russian delegation at the summit was headed by Lavrov.
