Benfica, the Portuguese club, announced the transfer of its defender, Robin Diaz, to Manchester City, during the current summer Mercato.
In a statement, Benfica indicated that he had reached an agreement with Manchester City to transfer Robin Diaz to City for 68 million euros, in addition to an additional amount of 3 million and 600 thousand euros, as additions related to the achievement of some goals.
Robin Diaz made his debut in a Benfica shirt on 16 September 2017, against Boavista, and since then, he has become an indispensable part of the Portuguese team’s starting line-up.
Since joining the team, Diaz has shown impressive levels, especially in the recent period, which made him captain of the team despite his age of only 23 years.
Diaz played 137 matches with Benfica, scoring 12 goals.
