RUSSIA will view the transporting of weapons on Ukrainian territory by the US and NATO as “legal military targets,” according to reports.
TASS news agency quotes Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov issuing the warning saying: “We are warning that US-NATO weapons transported across Ukrainian territory will be considered by us as legal military targets.”
It comes after Sweden confirmed it would apply for NATO membership with Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin saying they would make a decision “in weeks”. Russia previously said it would have to “rebalance the situation” if the two Nordic states joined NATO.
