MP: If Abu-Agila extradition passes without decisive stand, it will open door for extraditing others
Libyan Parliament Member, Jaballa al-Shaibani, said if the incident of handing over Abu-Agila al-Mariami to the United States passed without a serious and decisive stance from the concerned institutions (the Parliament – the Presidential Council – the Attorney General – the government) and the people of all sects, it will open the door for handing over other Libyan nationals.
It is noteworthy that the outgoing Government of National Unity (GNU) headed by Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh had handed over the citizen Abu Agila al-Mariami to U.S. over allegations of his involvement in the 1988-Lockerbie bombing.
