Paris Saint-Germain Announces Death of Former Player Mbami
French club Paris Saint-Germain announced the death of its former Cameroonian player, Modeste M’Bami, on Saturday evening, at the age of 40.
And Paris Saint-Germain said in a statement: “Modiste Mbami died at the age of 40 after suffering a heart attack. Paris Saint-Germain offers his condolences to his family and loved ones.”
Mbami defended the colors of several French clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille, and won the French Cup title in 2004 and 2006 with the Parisian team.
The Cameroonian player also had experience in several leagues, such as the Spanish, Chinese and Saudi clubs, before retiring in 2016 after a short period with French club Le Havre.
Mbame scored 3 goals in 37 matches with the Cameroon national team, and was also part of the team that won the gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
