President El-Sisi of Egypt to Pay an Official Visit to Turkey
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt will pay an official visit to Türkiye on September 4, 2024, at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
As part of the visit, President Erdoğan and President el-Sisi of Egypt will co-chair the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, which was restructured in accordance with the Joint Declaration signed during President Erdoğan’s visit to Cairo on February 14, 2024.
All aspects of Türkiye-Egypt relations will be reviewed, and potential steps aimed at further deepening bilateral cooperation will be addressed at the Council Meeting.
It is also on the agenda of the visit that various legal documents that would contribute to the contractual basis of the Türkiye-Egypt relations be signed on the occasion of the Council Meeting.
Besides bilateral relations, views on regional and global issues, particularly the Israeli attacks on Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, will be exchanged during the talks.
