Putin and Tebboune Sign the “Deep Partnership Declaration” Between the Two Countries
Vladimir Putin and Algerian Abdelmadjid Tebboune signed a “Declaration of Deep Partnership” between the two countries, while Putin described the talks between them as fruitful, according to “Russia Today”.
Putin added that the talks with the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Mr. Tebboune, who is on a state visit to Russia, were very practical and fruitful, which is evidenced by the wide range of documents signed between the two countries at the level of governments, municipal authorities and ministries, which aim to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.
President Putin stressed that relations with Algeria “carry special importance for Russia, and are of a strategic nature,” and according to him, the adoption of the declaration will be the beginning of a new, more developed stage in bilateral relations between the two countries.
In addition, the two presidents signed an agreement for cooperation in the field of using outer space for peaceful purposes.
Putin invited the Algerian president to the Russian-African summit to be held in St. Petersburg at the end of next July.
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune also suggested during the talks that Algeria enter the BRICS organization and work to reduce dependence on the dollar and the euro, which was agreed with by Russian President Vladimir Putin and indicated the importance of Russia expanding the practice of mutual settlements using national currencies between Russia and Algeria.
