Russia: “We are studying signing a free trade agreement with Egypt, economic integration with the UAE”
Russian President Putin said that Moscow is considering signing a free trade agreement with Egypt, in addition to economic integration with the UAE, and is working on a free trade agreement with Iran.
Putin added that the Russian government is working to fill the Russian citizens’ need for foodstuffs, which have declined due to the sanctions, noting that the West is clearly hostile to Russia.
Western countries imposed unprecedented sanctions on Russia, after Putin ordered his forces to invade Ukraine on February 24.
The Russian president had said earlier that the sanctions imposed on his country had harmed Western countries more than Russia, which he stressed was flexible in the face of “external challenges.”
