Schultz: NATO Will Not Send Military Forces to Ukraine
In another part of his speech, the German Prime Minister stressed that Europe must maintain its ability to defend itself to deter possible aggressors regardless of who wins the next elections. America will win or how the war in Ukraine will end, strengthen.
Schultz said on the second day of the Munich Security Conference, which is called “Davos Defense”, “We Europeans must take care of our security now and in the future”. He further added that Germany, the largest economy in Europe, will increase its defense spending to 2 percent of production and will continue to meet the goal of the Western Defense Alliance (NATO).
He also said that Germany is also discussing the development of long-range and precision weapons with its allies France and Britain to ensure that its deterrence strategy remains up-to-date.
