Tunisian President Said to Start official Visit to Egypt
'The visit comes within the framework of linking the bridges of communication and establishing the norm of consultation and coordination,' the Tunisian presidency said in a statement.
Tunisian President Kais Said will be making an official visit to Egypt from 9 to 11 April at the invitation of Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the Tunisian presidency said on Thursday.
“The visit comes within the framework of linking the bridges of communication and establishing the norm of consultation and coordination between the leaderships of the two countries,” the Tunisian presidency said in a statement.
The visit also seeks to “establish new visions and perceptions that enhance the path of the ongoing, special cooperation between Tunisia and Egypt in a way that meets the legal aspiration of the two brotherly peoples in stability and development,” the statement added.
This would be Said’s first visit to Egypt and the first in-person talks to be held at the bilateral level between the two presidents.
