Ultra-nationalists in Ukraine plan to blow up warehouses of toxic chemicals, Russian Defense
Russian Defense Ministry announced that Ukrainian neo-Nazis booby-trapped warehouses containing toxic chemicals in the eastern Ukrainian town of Avdiivka and are planning to detonate them as Donetsk forces approach the region.
Today, the head of the Defense Department of Russia, Mikhail Mezintsev, said: “The fighters of the ultra-nationalist formations in Avdiivka prepared an inhumane provocation to collectively poison the population of the neighboring regions with chemicals.” The forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic approached the city.
In a related context, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov announced that hundreds of European mercenaries have been trapped in the city of Mariupol.
“The results of the espionage show that in addition to the Nazis from the Azov battalion and the remnants of the Ukrainian forces, there are a large number of foreign mercenaries in the areas of the city of Mariupol,” Konashenkov said, adding that “in addition to the Ukrainian and Russian languages, communications are conducted in six other languages, most of which are foreign European.”
Konashenkov pointed out that Kyiv refused to withdraw the militants from Mariupol, noting that “however, the city will be liberated unconditionally by the Donetsk forces with Russian coverage.”
“Foreign mercenaries are trapped in Mariupol, and they are used to killing for dollars and hiding behind civilian human shields,” he added.
