UNRWA: Gaza Kids Face Shocks and Trauma Every Day
UNRWA has said that the Gaza children face shocks and trauma every day, affirming that its teams continue their efforts to provide them with mental health support despite constant challenges.
Recently, UNICEF warned in a report that the children in Gaza “remain cut off from psychosocial care.”
In X remarks on Sunday, UNRWA added that its employees in Khan Yunis organized today “activities for unaccompanied children to allow them to play like children again.”
“Even before this latest escalation, more than 500,000 children in Gaza were identified as needing mental health and psychosocial support.
Today, every child has been exposed to deeply distressing events and trauma, marked by widespread destruction and displacement. Meanwhile, parents and caregivers are themselves under intense mental strain,” UNICEF said.
