Where did you get this? Tunisian campaign escalates against Ghannouchi again

A “Campaign from Where You Get This” in Tunisia addressed a petition to the Presidents of the Republic, the government and parliament, regarding the wealth of Parliament Speaker Rashid Ghannouchi, calling for the formation of an independent committee to scrutinize the wealth of politicians.

The campaign called on the three presidencies to work to fulfill their demands to address corruption.

The petition was signed by parliamentarians, politicians, jurists, and various groups in Tunisian society.

Mystery surrounds the source of the rich wealth of Ghannouchi, who has owned in 9 years palaces and real estate in upscale areas and luxury cars, and questions arise about ways to obtain these large funds and the identity of donors, and whether they come from outside the country.

The party’s president, Abeer Moussa, said she will file a lawsuit against the law establishing the Renaissance Movement, its association with the Muslim Brotherhood organization, and receiving foreign funds.

The “Free Constitutional Party” announced, on Tuesday, that it would file a lawsuit against the legality of establishing the “Ennahda” movement in Tunisia, pointing out that the Speaker of Parliament and the head of “Ennahda”, Rashid Ghannouchi, had blocked a proposal in Parliament classifying the Brotherhood as a “terrorist group”.

Waqf Musa Documents prove that the license granted to the Ennahda Movement party in 2011 to conduct its activities in Tunisia Contrary to legal formulas, it was made clear that the file, which was handed over to the Ministry of Interior, is illegal and incomplete.

The leader of the Free Constitutional Party called on civil society to act against the Ennahda Party and its leader Rashid Ghannouchi because it was a threat to Tunisias national security, saying, “We hold the responsibility of all people’s representatives to move to refuse to control parliament by the Ennahda party that implements the Brotherhood’s agenda, and its members receive funding from Qatar.”
