YAF say Targeted ‘Sensitive’ Israeli Site in Occupied Isdud
YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree says "the operation was carried out by a drone and successfully hit its target."
The official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced on Monday the implementation of a top-tier military operation targeting a sensitive target of the Israeli enemy in the Yavne, Isdud area in occupied Palestine.
Saree said in a statement that “the operation was carried out by a drone and successfully hit its target,” noting that “the operation comes within the fifth phase of supporting the Palestinian Resistance.”
He stressed the readiness of the YAF to confront any “Israeli aggression against our country with more top-tier military operations,” noting that their support operations for the Palestinian people will not stop until the aggression stops and the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted.
Israeli media reported that a drone made a direct impact and detonated in a ten-story building in the southern city of Yavne, Isdud.
Footage circulated on social media showed smoke billowing from one of the top levels of the building.
It is worth noting that sirens were not activated in the city until after the explosion was heard.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces said the drone was launched from Yemen, entering Israeli airspace without triggering alarms. An investigation regarding the incident will be launched to identify why the sirens were not activated.
Israeli media also reported the launch of two interceptor missiles in Haifa for unknown reasons.
Yemeni, Iraqi Resistance conduct joint operation against ‘Israel’
On Sunday, Brigadier General Saree announced that the YAF, in collaboration with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, carried out a joint operation targeting a vital target in southern occupied Palestine.
The operation was carried out using a number of drones, with the intended targets being hit with high accuracy, the spokesperson confirmed.
