Italy and France foreign ministers discuss developments in Libya
Italian Foreign Minister Luigi de Maio will travel to Paris on Wednesday to meet his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian to discuss the resumption of production and export of Libyan oil that has been blocked since the oil closings last January.
The meeting is the second between the Italian minister and his French counterpart since the opening of the European domestic borders and comes within the framework of coordinating joint efforts between the two countries regarding the Libyan crisis.
De Maio believes that reopening oil exports is a priority because the suspension of oil production and export is the way in which the Libyan people is get starving, and we cannot allow it, according to the Italian Aki News.
